Complete Nielsen Ratings: March 2 - 8, 2015
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #92:
it was a tight and competitive week, from the Big 4 networks, in the two younger age demographics. In the A18-49 demo, just three tenths of a ratings point separated first place NBC (1.7 rating) from fourth place CBS (1.4 rating). The spread in the A25-54 demo was just four tenths, NBC (2.3) and FOX (1.9). In total viewership, it was CBS that dominated the eyeballs, posting over a 1.5 million viewer advantage over #2 network, NBC.
CBS did decent numbers, considering its Monday and Tuesday night line ups were in repeats. It still posted seven programs in the top ten, lead by THE BIG BANG THEORY, at #1. A total of 16 shows made the top 30, including four encore programs. New sitcom THE ODD COUPLE looks to be the real deal, placing 5th on the week.
NBC is still riding the wave of THE VOICE, as new editions of the series placed second and third, and a clips show finished 25th. The network's other two entries into the top 30 were CHICAGO FIRE, at #21, and THE BLACKLIST, at #27. the remaining NBC schedule placed 40th, or worse.
ABC had six top 30 programs, with MODERN FAMILY at the most watched, at #16. Scandal was right behind at #17. New series AMERICAN CRIME made it at #26.
FOX took a step backwards during the week. The season premiere of THE FOLLOWING failed and placed 49th. But, EMPIRE rose to the #4 spot and was the top drama of the week.
