TNT renews freshman series:
THE LIBRARIANS has been given a second season order, by TNT.
Cinemax renews veteran series:
The premium cable outlet has given a 8 episode, fourth season order to BANSHEE.
Cinemax then picks up new series:
The network has ordered 10 episodes of the new series, OUTCAST, created by the creator of THE WALKING DEAD, Robert Kirkman.
MISTRESSES finds Milano's replacement:
Last year Alyssa Milano dropped out of the cast of MISTRESSES, a day after it was renewed for a third summer season. Now, ABC has found her replacement. Jennifer Esposito (SPIN CITY, BLUE BLOODS) will play the character Calista Raines.
Spanish language OTT movie service launched:
FlixLatino is the newest OTT service to launch, streaming spanish language movies via DirectTV's Yaveo. The service is not to dissimilar to Netflix, and will cost $7.99 per month.
Hulu picks up Franco series:
The original series "11/22/63", starring James Franco, will air on Hulu. The series is based on the Stephen King book of the same name, and will be produced by JJ Abrams production company, Bad Robot.
FOX & Telemundo grab soccer rights:
Skipping the bidding process, FIF awarded FOX and Telemundo US Broadcast rights to the 2026 World Cup. Both networks begin their coverage this year with the Women's World Cup, in Canada.
