Ratings Review: GROUND FLOOR (Season Two)

In a season where cable sitcoms have had a rough time getting an audience to follow them, GROUND FLOOR was one of the stronger series in the genre. Yet, TBS decided to kill the series after two seasons, along with other originals, basically leaving it with zero original scripted comedies.

Over the course of the last few months, the network is closing up COUGAR TOWN, axed SULLIVAN & SON, MEN AT WORK and now GROUND FLOOR. There are a couple new series "coming" later this year, but by the end of February, there will be zero.

You look at other networks like FX, FXX and USA, which are running first run comedies and none are getting the numbers GROUND FLOOR is getting. The most recent episode of ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA drew just a half a million viewers and an 0.4 demo.

For the season, GROUND FLOOR averaged 1.47 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the A18-49 demographic ratings, in the Live+SD ratings.  For the season, the show is reached an average of 3.1 million viewers per episode across TBS's linear telecasts and DVR, VOD, digital and mobile plays.
