Primetime Cable Ratings: February 8, 2015

Sunday night was AMC night, with the winter season premiere of THE WALKING DEAD and the much anticipated series premiere of the BREAKING BAD spin-off, BETTER CALL SAUL. The network averaged 7.6 million viewers and a 3.7 rating in the A18-49 ratings, over the four hours of prime time. AMC took four of the top six spots on the chart.

THE WALKING DEAD premiere collected 15.6 million viewers and an 8.0 rating in the demo, at 9 p.m. That is 800,000 more viewers and an increase of 5%, in the demo, from the mid-season finale, back in November. Compared to the season premiere, back in early October, it is down 1.6 million viewers and 8% in the demo.

Following the DEAD was the series premiere of BETTER CALL SAUL. It held onto 6.9 million viewers and a 3.4 rating in Adults 18-49. Retention out of DEAD was 44% in viewers and 43% in the demo. Not a great sign for the new show, but it could be attracting a completely different audience.

The rest of the night's chart is mostly filled with reruns and movies, but both THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA (#10) and ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER (#12) made the top 15.
