Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 02/11/15
Another week, another series record for EMPIRE. The red hot drama continues to climb in the ratings. This week, the series rose to 11.9 million viewers and a 4.7 rating in Adults 18-49. That is another 400,000 viewers and an increase of a tenth of a ratings point, in the demo, over last week. This could be the week EMPIRE tops BIG BANG for the best L+SD rating, in the A18-49 demographic.
ABC took second in the demo ratings, third in viewership. THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY fell from last week's numbers, but NASHVILLE rose in the demo, to create a three way tie in the 10 p.m. hour, with a 1.4 rating. The musical drama rose a tenth in the demo and gained 1.1 million viewers, from last week's numbers.
CBS was a sluggish 4rd place, with THE MENTALIST and SLAKER producing ho-hum numbers for the network. THE MENTALIST was third in the demo, with a 1.5 rating, and second in viewers, with 9.1 million. STALKER fell into that 3-way tie at 10 p.m.. However, both series did see gains over last week's numbers.
As expected, NBC was a fourth place network, for the third time this week. MYSTERIES OF LAURA and LAW & ORDER: SVU did see slight gains over last week's episodes, but placed 4th in their respective time slots. CHICAGO PD dropped 15% in the demo to cause that three way tie at 10 p.m.
After a great showing last week, ARROW lost 17% in the demo ratings.
