K-LOVE Subscription TV network:
The popular Christian radio network, K-LOVE, is eyeing this march to launch an Over The Top (OTT) subscription based TV network. Preliminary reports have a monthly subscription at $9.99, or a yearly subscription at $99.99. K-LOVE will partner with TAPP-TV, which have launched channels for Sarah Palin and Herman Cain. The channel will allow fans to connect and go deeper with K-LOVE, their faith and the artists they love.
CBS head back to Viacom?:
Wall Street is calling a a reunion of CBS with Viacom, if Viacom cable networks end up getting dumped by Dish over programming fees. Viacom has been downgraded twice and stocks have fallen near 10% in a little over a week. CBS is the most watched network on TV and has hot properties like the NFL and March Madness.
Forget GSN - Buzzr TV is free:
A new over the air digital network is coming TVs, featurng games shows, all day and night. Buzzr will be backed by FremantleMedia and Debmar-Mercury and will be on FOX O&O stations. The network will launch this summer will be in nine of the top 10 markets, 14 of the top 20. FremantleMedia is a supplier of games shows like FAMILY FEUDE and THE PRICE IS RIGHT.
Summer series gets a second season:
NBC's FOOD FIGHTERS will live another season, as the network has given the go for a second season, this summer.
LEANN & EDDIE axed:
VH1 has cancelled the series LEANN & EDDIE after just one season. The series followed country star LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie.
Ian 'F'n' McShane joins veteran series:
DEADWOOD star Ian McShane will join the Showtime series RAY DONAVAN, in its third season.
Roc Lowe to star in NBC series:
NBC has given the go order for a new, 10 episode series titled APOCALYPSE, starring Rob Lowe and Megan Mullaly. The 'Dramedy' will look at the last days of mankind, before the Apocalypse.
