  • New broadcast network launching in April
  • Will Arnett has new comedy project

New broadcast network launching in April:
LAFF will be the newest over-the-air network, when it launches on Tax day, April 15, 2015. The network will be devoted to comedy movies, TV series. The network will be on secondary channels of all ABC O&Os, including NY, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Fresno and Raleigh. NFL to continue with CBS:
Thursday Night Football will continue its currently partnership with CBS, for the 2015 season. CBS will get the first 8 games of the season and produces all Thursday night games, for the NFL Network.



THE MILLERS star finds new series:
Will Arnett has a new series, FLAKED, and Netflix has ordered 8 episode for a first season run, in 2016.



FOX renews three:
Three FOX series received good news last week, as the network gave a second season order to both GOTHAM and EMPIRE and a third season order to BROOKLYN NINE-NINE.



Civil War drama coming to PBS:
An untitled Civil War drama has been ordered by PBS and is slated for a 2016 premiere. The series is based on true stories and will follow a couple of volunteer nurses, on opposite sides of the war.



Amazon Studios going to the theater:
Amazon Studios will produce movies for theatrical release, with production budgets at $5 to $25 million each. The movies could find their way to Amazon Prime within a month after a theatrical release.
