Primetime Cable Ratings: January 7, 2015
Reruns and theatrical movies rule the cable ratings, on Wednesday night, as nine of the top 11 programs were non-cable original programs. THE BIG BANG THEORY reruns, on TBS, grabbed five spots, averaging about 2.5 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the young demographic. NCIS, over on USA, placed all three episodes on the chart, also at an average of 2.5 million viewers. Even the top program of the night, a movie over on FX, hauled in over 31 million viewers.AMERICAN HORROR STORY was the the top original program, being just edged out by the movie, in total viewers, but was the #1 show in the A18-49 ratings. Viewership was up, slightly, from the previous episodes, on December 17th. But, it was a win -win for FX, taking the night with the top two programs.
