Primetime Cable Ratings: January 6, 2015
The season premiere of OWN's THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS was the top cable program of Tuesday night, hauling in 3.2 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to the summer premiere, last May, Ratings are up about 100,000 viewers and 10% in the A18-49 ratings. The numbers improve more when comparing to a year go, with the season two premiere. Viewership is up a half a million and the demo increased 22%.HGTV had a solid performance from one of its young series, FIXER UPPER. The home remodeling program ranked 7th on the night, with 2.2 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating. the second season series features a husband and wife helping couples find "the worst homes in the best neighborhoods," and then fixing them up like new.
At the bottom of the chart, Lifetime's DANCE MOM'S season premiere brought in 1.8 million viewers, at 9 p.m. That is up about 15% from the previous season's finale.
