New Years Day was all about the College Football Playoffs, on ESPN, featuring the final four teams competing for the national championship. Both games, and the studio show, drew over 28.1 million viewers, from roughly 5 p.m. to pas midnight, eastern time. It is the best numbers for ESPN, for a non-championship college game. See, create a playoff system for the college game and more viewers will flock to more games. Now, can we get at least a Sweet 16 bracket??
