Primetime Cable Ratings: December 24, 2014
Christmas movies dominated the the Christmas Eve cable viewing. Seven of the top 10 programs were of the holiday variety, with the classic CHRISTMAS VACATION grabbing the most viewers, with 4.1 million. ABC actually grabbed the most viewers of the night, also producing the #2 program, the movie ELF.
A CHRISTMAS STORY was shown on both TBS and TNT this year, with the first two airings, for both networks, grabbing two million viewers, or more. The combined 8 p.m. airing, between TBS and TNT, drew 4.9 million viewers and had a 1.7 demo rating. A full ratings review on the 24 hours of A CHRISTMAS STORY will be pushed out later this week.
