Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 12/10/14

ABC and CBS battled it out for the Wednesday night leadership, in the ratings. ABC has the edge in the A18-49 ratings, grabbing a 2.1 score, with MODERN FAMILY drawing a 3.1 rating, the tops number of the night. MODERN FAMILY was up 10% in the demo, over last week's ratings. THE MIDDLE saw a huge week-to-week jump, adding over one million viewers and 37% increase in the demo. THE GOLDBERGS had a similar bump in the numbers, but to a slightly lesser extent.

For the first time this season, NASHVILLE won the 10 p.m. hour, in the A18-49 ratings, over original episode of both STALKER and CHICAGO PD. The ABC drama is close to matching its best numbers of the season, matching the season premiere. Week-to-week, NASHVILLE is up near a half a million viewers and 15% in the demo.

CBS had two of three most watched show of the night, with CRIMINAL MINDS as the most watched of the evening, with 10.1 million viewers. CBS won the 8 p.m. hour, but fell to second place, for the remainder of the evening, in the A18-49 ratings. STALKER is matching its series low in the Demo ratings, recorded in early November.

NBC ran its regular line up, for the first time in three weeks, producing below average numbers. Each crime drama saw viewership drop between 600k and one million viewers and the demo numbers fall between 14 and 22 percent. CHICAGO PD and LAW & ORDER: SVU each produced season lows, while MYSTERIES OF LAURA is matching its worst performance.

FOX ran a two hour edition of HELL'S KITCHEN, matching last week's one hour episode, in the ratings. The shows fox UP, week to week, with the absence of the low rated RED BAND SOCIETY. FOX will have the same schedule next Wednesday, as HK is celebrating its 200th episode, as part of the season finale.

ARROW did not get the same sustained bump in the ratings as THE FALSH did. The veteran series dropped 800,000 viewers and 29% of the demo, from last week's crossover event. But, THE 100 is right there with its ratings from last week.

ABC - 7.3 million viewers, 2.1 rating in A18-49

CBS - 8.9 million viewers, 2.0 rating in A18-49

CW - 2.4 million viewers, 0.8 rating in A18-49

FOX - 3.6 million viewers, 1.2 rating in A18-49

NBC - 7.2 million viewers, 1.3 rating in A18-49
