Preliminary Ratings: Sundays 12/28/14
The final SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game of the season was the top show for the evening, getting 18.4 million viewers and a 5.8 demo rating, down a bit from last week's prelim numbers of 21.8 million and 7.7 demo, despite a close game through most of the night. gain, it comes to match ups. An AFC North battle rarely does well in the ratings, especially when the Bengal are involved.
CBS was the only other network with all original programming, but had the horrible luck have having not just one, but two blowout games as the back half of their NFL Doubleheader. Under 10 million stuck around to watch 60 Minutes, which INCREASED viewership from the game. All four regular series saw increases, week-to-week, with UNDERCOVER BOSS seeing the most with a near 30% increase in the demo.
FOX will have great numbers for its NFL overrun game, which featured a good game between the Packers and the Lions. Prelims have it at 23.2 million, and should see a few million more added once Finals are calculated and released, sometime in the near future.
ABC punted and ran a REVENGE marathon which did nothing in the ratings.
