Final Broadcast Ratings: December 25, 2014

ABC had an easy time winning Christmas night, thanks to the double pump of THE GRINCH. The classic half hour, animated special posted the night's best A18-49 ratings, grabbing a 1.9 score. That led into the theatrical movie version, starring Jim Carrey. The movie held on to 85% of the total viewers and lost just 6% for the demo, for the remainder of the night. Having a solid, likable classic program for Christmas night, will bring in the viewers, ready to relax, after a day with the family and toys.

CBS and FOX gave us encore programming of their regular schedule, to relatively decent numbers. But, had a classic holiday program been scheduled, They could have challenged ABC for the lead, or outright win of the night.

NBC had to battle the CW for 4th place, edging the smaller network by just one tenth of a point, in the demo.
