PlayStation Vue, Sony's OTT video service:
PlayStation Vue will initially only be available as an invitation only beta that will run on just the PS3 and PS4 consoles. The OTT service will have about 75 channels per market and launch later this month. The content partners with the service are CBS, The 18 channels of Discovery Communications, The many FOX cable and broadcast properties, The networks of NBCU, Scripps Networks and the networks owned by Viacom.



Neflix drama about Queen Elizabeth II:
The streaming service has ordered 10 episodes of THE CROWN, a drama about Queen Elizabeth II. The series is slated for a 2016 release.



CNN renews three original series for new seasons:
ANTHONY BOURDAIN PARTS UNKNOWN, SOMBODY'S GOT TO DO IT WITH MIKE ROW and THIS IS LIFE WITH LISA LING all have really long titles and have been renewed for new seasons in 2015.



The daily reboot report:
NBC is exploring the possibility of reviving the 1980's series LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS with Nick Cannon as the host. A pilot will be filmed and a decision of going to series will be made afterwards.



Randy Jackson leaving AMERICAN IDOL:
if you are like me and said "I though he had been gone for a while.", you were wrong. The long time co-host and contributor will have absolutely no involvement in the 2015 season.



THE OSBOURNES return:
Sharon Osbourne revieled on THE TALK that a short season of the ground breaking relaity TV series THE OSBOURNES will return to the airwaves. What she calls a "catch-up" season will consist of just 6 to 8 episodes. No further details were given.
