  • More remakes on their way to TV
  • COMMUNITY adds familiar names to cast
  • TNT axes veteran series
  • Showtime renews two series
Starz gets in on the remake trend:
Not to be left out, Starz announced it will adapt the EVIL DEAD franchise with a new series ASH VS EVIL DEAD. Sam Rami will direct the first episode and Bruce Campbell will once again play the title charact, Ash. The series will premiere in 2015 and 10 half hour episodes will make up the first season.



Chromecast adds to premium networks:
Showtime and Starz have added support of the Chromecast to its authenticated streaming applications. They join HBO, which added support to the device, earlier this year.



Showtime renews two series:
The two current Sunday evening series HOMELAND and THE AFFAIR have be renewed for an additional season, for 2015.



COMMUNITY adds to sixth season cast:
Now on Yahoo Scree, the sitcom COMMUNITY has add two veteran actors to its cast. Padget Brewster (CRIMINAL MINDS) and Keith David (ENLISTED). The series will return with new episodes in early 2015.



TNT cancels veteran drama:
After four seasons, FRANKLIN & BASH have been cancelled by TNT.



USA renews sophomore series:
Second year drama GRACELAND has been given a third season order of 13 episodes, by USA.
