Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 11/13/14
It was just a two horse race in Thursday night's broadcast ratings. ABC takes the crown for the A18-49 demographic ratings, with a solid 1-2-3 punch from its dramas. CBS hauls in the most viewers, with the #1 show pf the night, THE BIG BANG THEORY.
Each of ABC's three dramas saw growth in one and/or the other reported categories, over last week's numbers. GREY'S ANATOMY was up a couple 100k in total viewership and HTGAWM jumped a tenth of a point in the A18-49 ratings. SCANDAL saw both viewership (+200k) and the demo rating (+10%) grow, week-to-week. The network won both the 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. hours.
CBS' THE BIG BANG THEORY collected its most viewers since the season premiere, getting 17.1 million viewers, and its best A18-49 rating, 4.5, since moving back to Thursday nights. The increased start on the night did ripple through the other three comedies, as each series rose in both total viewers and in the demo ratings. By 10 p.m., ELEMENTARY was only able to stay flat, from last week's ratings.
FOX and NBC battled it out to see who could do worse. Both networks only managed a 1.0 average in the A18-49 ratings, but NBC did dive below FOX in viewership, with under four million.
