Final Broadcast Ratings: November 9, 2014

NBC has an easy time winning the Sunday night ratings, but SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL once again posts low numbers because of a quick blow out game. Just 18.1 million viewers stayed to watch Green Bay put a quick hurt on Chicago, going up 28-0 in almost no time. This was to be one of those big ratings games, based on the teams and markets. But, it is the lowest rated game of the year, in the A18-49 ratings, and the second least watched game of the season.

FOX takes advantage of the NFL lead in as THE SIMPSONS and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE post good numbers on the night. FOX was the #2 network at 8 p.m., and tied CBS for second during the 9 p.m. hour. Dropping below two million viewers is the comedy MULANEY and I would not be surprised to see FOX can the comedy before the end of the week, if not sooner.

AFV may be 25 years old, but it is the second best program ABC has on the night, drawing more viewers than either RESURRECTION or REVENGE, and pulls in a better A18-49 rating than either drama. From 7 to 9 p.m., ABC is solid. From 9 p.m. on, ABC is very weak. RESURRECTION needs to be pulled or moved to a less critical night. Perhaps Tuesdays at 8 p.m.?

CBS pulls in strong viewership numbers, but is in 4th place in the A18-49 ratings. But the network boasts is high income homes for its Sunday night line up, so that is a strong reason why CBS does well on the night.
