Final Broadcast Ratings: November 21, 2014
CBS rebounded nicely after last week's disastrous HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS, as viewership and the demographic ratings rose about two and a half times more than last week. HAWAII FIVE-O was the big gainer of the night, adding over one million viewers from the last original episode, two weeks earlier, and gaining two tenths of a ratings point, in the A18-49 demo. BLUE BLOODS was the night's most watched program.
ABC continues to be the network to beat in the A18-49 demographic. SHARK TANK continues to command a 2.0 rating in the demographic and 20/20 held onto 80% of the leading. The only off-note of the evening, for ABC, is the new sitcom CRISTELA. It only hold onto 75% of the lead in LAST MAN STANDING delivers and not even that much of the demo rating. Unfortunately, it looks like the comedy may be a one season-and-done series.
NBC did tie CBS for 2nd place in the demographic, but was a distant 3rd place in total viewers. DATELINE is he networks best program of the night, leading NBC in viewers and demo. As the night goes on, NBC sheds viewers by more than 50%, at the end of the night.
FOX continues to struggle to keep ahead of the CW. But, the recently released mid-season premieres. for January 2015, may help FOX compete for 3rd place, instead of fighting to stay out of 5th place.
