Final Broadcast Ratings: November 18, 2014
CBS tops NBC for the Wednesday night win, with NCIS crowned as the #1 show of the night. The long running crime drama collected 17.9 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in Adults 18-49. That tops THE VOICE by nearly 7.5 million viewers and and only trails THE VOICE by a tenth of a point, in the A18-49 ratings. Week-to-week, NCIS rose 13% in the demo ratings and grew over 600k in total viewers.
CBS' other two crime dramas saw growth over last week. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was up nearly two million viewers and 15% in the demo. PERSON OF INTEREST gained 23% in the demo and viewership jumped over 700k.
After THE VOICE, NBC's comedies drug the network down on the night. MARRY ME and ABOUT A BOY averaged just 4.6 million viewers and a 1.4 demo rating during the 9 o'clock hour. That is about even from their last original episodes, on October 28th. CHICAGO FIRE fell back to normal numbers, after last week's triple crossover episode, to just a 2.1 demo rating. However, the episode lost 1.3 million viewers.
ABC axed SELFIE last week and inserted repeats of SHARK TANK and the hour improved 22% in the demographic ratings. But, AGENTS OF SHIELD did little to capitalize on the improved lead in, growing just 200k in total viewers and one tenth of a point in the A18-49 ratings. FOREVER equaled last week's numbers.
Over on FOX, MASTERCHEF JR. was down 17% in the demo ratings, from last week's ratings. But, that drop did not affect NEW GIRL which rose one tenth of a ratings point. THE MINDAY PROJECT was even with last week's episode.
THE FLASH topped ABC in the 8 p.m. hour, in the demographic numbers, 1.4 to 1.1 ratings. The action drama was even from last week's ratings.
