TV POLL: Do You Watch a Digital Sub-Channel Network?
With cord-cutting all the rage, local broadcast stations are now carrying one, or more digital sub-channel networks, for over the air consumption. These networks are either classic TV networks, like MeTV and Antenna TV, while others are producing original shows, like Bounce or Universal Sports.
Networks like Cozi or Retro carry classic series like THE MARY TYLER MORE SHOW, ALL IN THE FAMILY and CHARLIES ANGELS.
Bounce is an African-American focused network, mixing classic shows with original productions.
Universal Sports focuses on Olympic sports events, like Rowing, gymnastics and down hill skiing, to name a few.
MeTV and BOUNCE are regularly reported by Nielsen Ratings. MeTV averaged 440,000 viewers, in primetime, for the week ending September 28, 2014. Bounce was slightly lower, averaging 230,000 viewers.
Even if you have cable TV, your provider may be carrying the channels. look for them on a different section of the channel listings, away from the major broadcast and cable networks. With my Xfinity listings, they are in the mid 200's and the 500s.
So, are you a fan of theses networks? Do you watch some programming on a regular basis? Let us know witch networks you watch and, in the comment section, tewll us your favorite programs on these networks.
