Primetime Cable Ratings: October 1, 2014

For the second night in a row, Major League Baseball tops the cable chart, as the National League game draws 5.6 million viewers and collects a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. The ESPN game drew 400,000 more viewers, but the the A18-49 ratings were two tenths of a point less than the Tuesday night game.

 Placing 8th on the night, SOUTH PARK, was the next best cable original program of the night. The animated series grabbed 2.2 million viewers, plus the second best demo ratings of the night, a 1.3. Week-to-week, SOUTH PARK dropped just 200k in viewers and one tenth of a point in the demo.
