Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 10/15/14
CBS is the top network in both reported ratings categories, with ABC equaling CBS in the A18-49 ratings. CBS' solid line up of SURVIVOR, CRIMINAL MINDS and STALKER won each hour in total viewers and two of the three hours in the demo ratings. CBS was even to last week's average.
ABC was down in the A18-49 ratings, week-to-week, because of the two Halloween specials TOY STORY and the PEANUTS specials dropped 1.5 million viewers and two tenths of a ratings point, from what THE MIDDLE and THE GOLDBERGS collected last week.
MODERN FAMILY and BLACK-ISH were also down, week to week. BLACK-ISH dropped 15% in the demographic and 1.2 million in total viewership. MODERN FAMILY was down a million viewers and 8% in the demo. NASHVILLE only lost a half million viewers and two tenths of a ratings point, from last week's episode.
NBC had a little fluctuation in viewership, but each of the three crime dramas were mostly flat from last week's A18-49 numbers. CHICAGO PD was up a tenth, from the previous week.
FOX is just terrible, so we'll move on.
Week two of ARROW had a noticeable drop. It is down 20% in the A18-49 ratings and lost a half million viewers, from last week's season premiere. Perhaps when THE 100 come online, it will help keep viewers tied to the network longer and tune in earlier.
