Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 10/26/14

ABC was the lone broadcast network to not air any sports programming, placing it in 4th place throughout the night. all four programs were last in their respective time slots, and ONCE UPON A TIME posted a season low, in both measured categories. This is the downside to Disney's strategy of placing nearly all sports programs on ESPN and keeping ABC nearly sports free. But, they are compensated by the $6 per subscriber, per month fee the extract from the cable companies.

CBS was second in total viewers (13.8 million) and third in the demo ratings (2.8), helped by an hour overrun of the late NFL games. However, it looks as if neither of the two dramas benefited from the NFL boost, as both were near average levels.

The WORLD SERIES was only good enough to push FOX into second place, bu the numbers are better then what the comedies would pull in, from 7 to 10 p.m. Game six could be the final game of the series and will be played on Tuesday night. If needed, the decisive game seven will be played on the following day.

The SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game between Green Bay and New Orleans could end up being the lowest rated game of the season. Just 17.2 million viewers and a 6.4 demo rating is behind the Giants vs Eagles games, from two weeks earlier.
