  • AT&T offers new HBO bundle
  • Starz looking for buyers
  • CBS doubles up summer series

Starz selling itself:
The premium cable network Starz has put itself up for acquisition. Valued at $3.2 billion, Disney, FOX and Discovery are said to be interested in the property.



AT&T launches HBO/broadband bundle:
AT&T Uverse is launching a special bundle that will only include broadband internet, HBO and Amazon Prime, for just $39 per month. This package is looking to bring in cord-cutters and, perhaps, put a dent into the Netflix subscriber base. The special deal is available though mid-December.



Second TRUE DETECTIVE confirmation:
A couple days after Colin Farrell confirmed his attachment to season two of TRUE DETECTIVE, the addition of Vince Vaughn has now also been confirmed.



BIG BROTHER makes it a double:
CBS has renewed the reality competition series for two more seasons, through the summer of 2016.



Netflix gets US rights to UK series:
PEAKY BLINDERS, a critically acclaimed UK series, will have its first two season made exclusively on Netflix. The six episode first season will be made available on September 30 and the second season will come in November.



SyFy green lights new series:
HUNTERS, a science fiction series about an alien terrorist network on Earth, has been given a 13 episode commitment by SyFy. The series will premiere sometime in 2016.
