Ratings Review: MOTIVE (Season Two)

Second year crime drama MOTIVE did not have a good season in the ratings.  Once new, original competition hit CBS and NBC, for the time slot, it regularly finished last, behind the other two networks.

Ratings initially looked decent, keeping the demo numbers around a 1.0 rating and viewership above four million viewers, but the last half of the summer run, MOTIVE fell below four million and the A18-49 ratings never again reached a 1.0 score.

For the season, MOTIVE averaged 3.96 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. No announcement from ABC on the fate of MOTIVE, but it has to be called a long shot to get a third season order.
