Primetime Cable Ratings: September 8, 2014
ESPN ruled Monday night with its annual doubleheader to kick of the season. The two games averaged 12.6 million viewers and a 5.2 rating in Adults 18-49. The 7:00 p.m. game may have done a lot better had the NY Giants not looked like High School team, playing against the Lions, and get blown out. Compared to last year, the early game was down three million viewers and 0.8 in the demo, but the late game was up about a half a million viewers and one tenth of a ratings point.LOVE AND HIP HOP was the night's top program in the demo, that was not a football game, scoring a 1.9 rating. Only down slightly, from last week's rating.
