Primetime Cable Ratings: September 1, 2014
LOVE & HIP HOP ruled Labor Day, on Cable TV. The VH1 reality series pulled in the most viewers (4.1 million) and was the top draw in the A18-49 demographic (2.1 rating). That is on par with the ratings the series collected last week.
The scripted History movie HOUDINI, did well, placing 5th on the night and attracting 3.7 million viewers. The network continues to do well with scripted projects, with the escape artist's life story being just the latest success story.
ESPN will make sure that a football game is televised each and every night, from now until Thanksgiving weekend. A rare Monday night college game drew 3.6 million viewers, good enough for 6th place.
