Primetime Cable Ratings: August 24, 2014
The annual MTV Video Music Awards dominated the cable landscape, on Sunday night, grabbing 8.3 million viewers and a 4.2 rating in Adults 18-49. The program was not only #1 on cable TV, but also beat every show on broadcast TV. However, the numbers are off from last year's show by 1.8 million viewers and 20% in the A18-49 demographic. But, a show like this will fluctuate as trends in music change.
TRUE BLOOD called it a series, on a bit of a quite note. Just four million viewers tuned in to see the end of the series, but that was up, slightly from last week. The A18-49 ratings did reach 2.1, a gain of 17% from the previous episode.
