Ratings Review: BLACK BOX (Season One)

Without looking it up on line, I have no real idea what BLACK BOX was about. The ABC promos were vague, and had more style, than substance. That may be the big reason the series did not catch on with viewers.

BLACK BOX had the network's best time slot with GREY'S ANATOMY as the lead in. But aver an "average series premiere," the ratings quickly took a nose dive, below a one demo rating.

Moving the series to an earlier time slot didn't help much. The move was more of freeing up the 10 p.m. slot for a stronger summer series, than it was to find a better slot for BLACK BOX.

For the season, BLACK BOX averaged 4.33 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for it's 12 air dates. The series will not return for a second season, but there is always Netflix, if you are a fan.
