Ratings Review: THE AMERICANS (Season Two)

THE AMERICANS is one of my favorite TV series this year. It is fun, smart and suspenseful. it is one of the few series that successfully handles being set in the past.

 The ratings for the second season of THE AMERICANS was not strong, but still better than most FX shows. After the 1.9 million viewers of the season premiere, the series struggled to keep the level of viewership above 1.3 million. But, if the season premiere is any indication, a large majority of fans wait to watch THE AMERICANS after it's initial airing.

For the season, THE AMERICANS averaged 1.34 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. The series will be back for a third season, in early 2015. If you have not watched the series, season one is available on Netflix and Amazon prime. Season two is only available via pay-per-episode services, like iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Instant Video
