Primetime Cable Ratings: June 29, 2014

The annual BET Awards were the dominate program of Sunday night, grabbing 7.5 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in Adults 18-49. That is not only the best numbers on cable, but top everything on broadcast TV, with exception of 60 MINUTES, which had more total viewers. The BET Awards highlight the best in African-American in music and movies.

Although it did not start until nearly midnight, the post awards show, on BET, generated over three million viewers. It's 1.3 demo rating  was third best, for after 6 p.m.

TNT's new series THE LAST SHIP continues to dow well, getting 4.7 million viewers for it's second episode. It only dropped about 600k in total viewers, from last week's premiere, keeping over 87% of the audience.

Only two episodes of LAW & ORDER: SVU spoil a possible all-original night for the top 10 chart.
