Ratings Review: RIOT (Season One)
If you missed it, RIOT was an improve comedy show that featured a team of comedic actors acting out a comedy sketches in odd and "humorous" rooms. it was created by Steve Carell (THE OFFICE) and his wife. It was not funny or even a "RIOT."
The ratings started off bad, and only got worse. Barely getting over a million viewers for each of the four weeks it was on, before being axed. The one segment I watched of the series was not just bad, but uncomfortably bad. I felt sorry for the comedians that had to work this show and try to be funny.
It too FOX a little while to pull the trigger, but cancelling the series after four weeks was the right thing to do. It was embarrassing to see the network sink to the levels of CW repeats.
