Ratings Review: REVOLUTION (Season Two)

I have to admit, when this series was first announced at the 2012 upfronts, I was excited to watch it. It had a great premise and had JJ Abrams producing it. But after two full seasons, I am glad it is finally off the air.

This series never should have been renewed for a second season. it had displayed declining ratings the last half of the first season. That decline continues in season two. From six million viewers to Five million viewers, the just four million and finishing up with one episode under four million.

The DVR Numbers also started out good, gaining three million viewers and getting 1.5, or more, increase in the demo numbers. but by the end of the season, it was luck to get a half a point increase.

For the season, REVOLUTION averaged 4.81 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 23 airings, including just one repeat episode. This whole second season was really a waste of time. I watched every episode and nothing ever seemed to get accomplished. Things happened, but the story was never going forward. A waste to a perfectly good premise.
