Ratings Review: CRIMINAL MINDS (Season Nine)
After nine seasons, CRIMINAL MINDS is still a strong series in the Nielsen ratings. It's solid and consistent delivery of ratings makes it a solid performer and fans have stayed loyal through the past decade.
Each week, you can count on CRIMINAL MINDS attracting 10-12 million viewers and a solid mid-two in the A18-49 demographic. Over the years, the demographic number has come down a little, but viewership is almost the same as it was in the fall of 2007, in that 12 million viewer range.
In the LIVE+7 ratings, CRIMINAL MINDS is one of the stronger programs to draw additional viewers. Viewership increased between 3 to 4 million, while the A18-49 ratings grow by more than 50%. People like to say it is an "old Show" because of the number of non A18-49 viewers, but it does produce one of the better A18-49 ratings.
For the season, Criminal minds averaged 9.83 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in adults 18-49, for the 32 airings, including eight repeat episodes. Unless, as a team, the cast decides to leave the series, CRIMINAL MINDS could see many more years on the air.
