Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 06/19/14
Long running summer crime drama, ROOKIE BLUE, gave us it's fifth season premiere, plus a bonus second episode on Thursday night. The two episode averaged 5.7 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. Both episodes were the second most watched shows of the night, behind THE BIG BANG THEORY.ROOKIE BLUE was also second in the A18-49 ratings, during the 9 p.m. hour, also behind CBS. Year to year, ROOKIE BLUE is up a half a million viewers, but down 17% in the A18-49 ratings. Not a bad start to the series, now in it's fifth year, but lower ratings are never a good sign.
Earlier on ABC, BLACK BOX returned, but now in the 8 p.m. hour. The series was 4th in the A18-49 ratings, drawing just a 0.7 rating. The total viewership was at 4 million, better than HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT.
Over on FOX it was feast or famine in the ratings. HELL'S KITCHEN tied THE BIG BANG THEORY as the #1 show of the night, in the A18-49 ratings, with a 1.8 mark. That is up 13% from last week's rating.But those good numbers couldn't help the new drama GANG RELATED, which continues to drew small numbers. GANG RELATED was the least watched show of the night, from the big 4 networks, and could only top BLACK BOX, in the demo ratings, of all new shows.
the 4th Annual Critics' Choice TV Awards drew minimal interest, getting just one million viewers and a 0.3 demo rating. That is a smaller audience than the 1.7 million people that saw tweets about the show.
Lastly, on NBC, only LAST COMIC STANDING drew decent ratings, getting a 1.4 rating in the demographic ratings, winning the 10 p.m. hour.

NBC - 3.3 million viewers, 1.1 rating in A18-49
