Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 06/15/14

ABC dominated the Sunday ratings, as the NBA closed it's season with the last game of the 2014 NBA FINALS. it was the best preliminary ratings the series has received, and should translate to strong final ratings.

ABC was the only network that tried to grab viewers on the night, it is the only network really worth mentioning in this blog post. The preliminary numbers show that 15.6 million viewers tuned into watch San Antonio capture their fifth NBA Championship, in the last 15 years. The Spurs put on yet another butt woppin' to the heat, with a commanding 17pt margin of victory for the decisive game.

Just to note that NBC did give us two burn-off episodes of the Sunday mid-season dramas. Both shows underwhelmed the ratings, barely beating the repeat offerings from CBS.

CBS - 4.3 million viewers, 0.51 rating in A18-49

CW - 0.6 million viewers, 0.2 rating in A18-49

FOX - 1.8 million viewers, 0.8 rating in A18-49

NBC - 3.4 million viewers, 0.81 rating in A18-49
