The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #86:
ABC swept the week in the ratings, on the strength of games one and two of the NBA Finals. The start of the championship series averaged 15 million viewers and a 6.0 rating in Adults 18-49, for those first two games. The network added another five shows to the top 30, including MOTIVE at #25. ABC aired 19 hours of original programming, and just three hours of encores.
NBC, presenting the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals, was an easy second place network, getting second place in the three demographic categories. Game one drew average ratings (4.8 million viewers, 1.9 demo rating), but game two, which went into two overtime periods, pushed up to the #12 spot, with 6.4 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating. NBC had a total of seven shows in the top 30, equaling ABC's take, but the peacock network aired 21 of 22 hours of original programming.
CBS was the #3 network of the week, airing just four hours of original programming. The Monday episode of 48 HOURS placed 14th on the week. Sunday's THE TONY AWARDS cracked the top 10,in the #8 position, grabbing 7.1 million viewers. With that, CBS placed 14 programs in the top 30.
FOX was last of the Big 4 networks, struggling to beat the CW on a couple of nights, even when repeats go head-to-head with CW repeats. Only the network's Monday night lineup of MASTERCHEF (#30) and 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY (#15) made the top 30. Most of the network's offerings finished 60th, or worst, mixing the bottom with The CW.
The CW was the #6 network of the week, dropping below ION, but there were a few bright spots for the network, including the summer run of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?
