TV News Roundup: May 12, 2014

It is a busy week for the TV industry. FOX and NBC have released their 2014-15 fall TV lineups and we have it all here for you, plus first look videos of each series. This and more in today's TV News Roundup!


NBC 2014 Fall Lineup:
NBC will add six new programs this fall, including three new sitcoms. [LINK]



FOX 2014 Fall Lineup:
FOX will add five new series this fall, including the new reality series UTOPIA, which will air on two separate nights. [LINK]



MEN AT WORK, are No Longer:
TBS has cencelled the third year sitcom, MEN AT WORK, featuring Danny Masterson.



AGENT CARTER to be a Short Series:
The word has it that the new ABC actions series MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER may in fact be a short series, airing between two halves of AGENTS OF SHIELD. We will know for certain come Tuesday, May 13th.



ESPN Extends Deal with MLS:
ESPN, FOX Sports and Univision all completed deals with Major League Soccer for eight year contracts, from 2015 through 2022. ESPN2 and FOX Sports 1 will each get 34 games of the week and split the league playoffs. ESPN will also get 10 games plus some National team matches and streaming if out of market games for ESPN3. Univision will continue as the Spanish language network. The combined rights will total $90 million per yearñ about triple the current deals.



TBS Renews COUGAR TOWN:
The long running, cult sitcom will get a 6th and final season on TBS.



THE BLACKLIST, Post Super Bowl Airing:
NBC has already named the hit freshman series THE BLACKLIST as the program that will air after the 2015 Super Bowl, which airs on NBC.



PBS is Mebers Only:
The PBS video on demand system will be for PBS Members only. Still a year away, MVOD will allow Members of PBS to stream and access content.
