Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 05/13/14

It was a wild finale Tuesday as 10 shows ended their season, or series, on the night. Plus, CBS swept the night, with NBC right behind, while the CW beats FOX.

CBS' NCIS beat THE VOICE, straight up, head-to-head, in both total viewers and the A18-49 ratings. The NCIS season ender generated it's best numbers in the past few weeks, getting a 2.6 rating in the demo category. TH VOICE could only manage a 2.5.

CBS's night did not end there as both NCIS: LA and PERSON OF INTEREST each won their time periods, in both reported categories. Only NBC's CHICAGO FIRE managed to tie POI in the A18-49 ratings.

ABC's three finales did little to generate interest. Each program was third in it's respective time slot, with the now cancelled TROPHY WIFE possible earning a 4th place finish, behind the CW. A major shake is needs on the night, for ABC, and that is what will happen next season. three new series and a move to 9 p.m. for SHIELD.

FOX totally tanked on the night, between the season finale of GLEE and the series premiere of RIOT. Both shows lost to the CW, in both total viewership and demo ratings. This could be the worst night of original programming by FOX, during a sweeps period.
