Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 05/11/14
With all four network limping through Sunday night, ABC was, by default, the #1 broadcast network of the night. It was lead by the two hour season finale of ONCE UPON A TIME, which gathered 6.5 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49. It was the highest rated show, in the A18-49 ratings, and was slightly up from last week's episode. Compared to last season's finale, OUAT was down just slightly, in the demo ratings, and about 800k in total viewers. Needless to say, May is not being very kind to the series.Following the fairy tale drama was the season finale of REVENGE. It dropped 25% from it's lead in, in total viewers, and 32% in the A18-49 ratings. Compared to the 2013 finale, REVENGE was down 1.2 million viewers and 12% in the demo numbers.
Despite releasing it's 2014-15 TV schedule yesterday, many viewers stared away from the TV miniseries ROSEMARY'S BABY. The TV remake of the 1968 theatrical movie was the lowest rated program, from 9 to 11 p.m., in the A18-49 ratings. This is just the latest remake from NBC, over the past few years, and it has yet to find any success from the recycled approach to programming.
Next week, we will see the remaining Sunday series close out their seasons, with exception of COSMOS, on FOX.
