Complete Nielsen Ratings: May 5 - 11, 2014
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #94:
CBS dominated the viewership chart, taking the top three spots (NCIS, THE BIG BANG THEORY and NCIS: LA), plus 17 of the top 30 show of the week. Two Friday dramas, BLUE BLOODS and HAWAII FIVE-O, placed 5th and 13, respectively, this week. Something we do not see often from a Friday series. Over all, CBS took three of the five categories and was edged out by ABC for the A18-49 ratings.
Speaking of ABC, it was the #2 network of the week. Six programs from the network made the top 30 chart, lead by DANCING WITH THE STARS, at #4. ABC was the top demographics network, placing 10 shows in the top 30.
NBC and FOX battled it out for the #3 spot. NBC has it's two big guns in THE VOICE and THE BLACKLIST, each making the top 10 this week. But, as top heavy NBC is, it is also bottom heavy. Eight NBC shows make up the bottom third of the complete chart. That is second only to The CW.
FOX failed to place a single program in the top 20, but did put three in the top 30. The network's top show was 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY, placing 21st on the week. American idol fell to the 28th spot.
The CW was done slight, from the previous week. Only ARROW stayed consistent, week-to-week, of the networks big gun series.
The broadcast networks are in the middle of their upfront presentations for the 2014-15 fall schedules. So far, we have 17 new series, for the fall, between NBC, FOX and ABC.
