Fire TV from Amazon:
Amazon has entered the streaming device market with it's new Fire TV box. The box will cost $99 and will be tied to your Amazon prime account. But, like the Roku and Chromecast, it will also offer Netflix, Hulu and ESPN. Other networks at launch will be HBO and Showtime. The device will also have games available to play and purchase on the device.
THE WILL WHEATON PROJECT:
SyFy will premiere the new comedy series THE WILL WHEATON PROJECT, hosted by Wil Wheaton (EURECA, STAR TREK: TNG). The show will provide comentary on current genre topics and pop culture. The premiere date is schedule for May 27, 2014.

Jonathan Katz, COO, has formed his own company to start two new targeted digital multicast channels. The teo new channels are Escape, the first broadcast network for women, and Grit, aimed at men, this summer. Escape and Grit have carriage agreements with Univision that cover 30% of the country.
