Ratings: Broadcast Finals for April 6, 2014

CBS easily took the Sunday night with the special presentation of the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, from 8 to 11 p.m. The awards show brought in 14.2 million viewers and a 3.3 rating in Adults 18-49. That is dramatically down 1.3 million viewers and a 23% in the demo numbers, from last year's show.

NBC Sunday night is looking more like a waste land than when it premiered a few weeks back. The night averaged less than a one in the A18-49 demographic and under 4 million viewers. I don not expect any of the three new series to see a second season.

A second season may now be in question for the new ABC series RESURRECTION. The free fall in the ratings is starting to get at a critical level. Not only was it below the ACM AWARDS, but FAMILY GUY, on FOX, pulled in more young viewers than RESURRECTION. Since the premiere, RESURRECTION is down, 5.9 million viewers and 1.6 (-42%) points in the demo ratings.

Final Network Averages:
ABC - 6.7 million viewers, 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49

FOX - 3.7 million viewers, 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49
NBC - 3.9 million viewers, 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49
