Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 04/22/14

NBC cruised to an easy victory on Tuesday night as the other Big 4 networks were mostly in repeat programming. Between FOX, NBC, CBS and ABC, half of the programming was encore episodes.

NBC won two of the three primetime hours, with THE VOICE pulling in the most viewers of the night 11 million) and posting the top A18-49 rating (2.7). That is down 10% in the demo ratings and over 800k in total viewers, from last week's final ratings.

Despite the weaker lead in, both ABOUT A BOY and GROWING UP FISHER saw an increase in viewership and ABOUT A BOY rose one tenth in the A18-49 ratings. These two comedies have got to be shoe-ins for the NBC 2014 fall schedule.

CBS did win the 10 p.m. hour with it's repeat of PERSON OF INTEREST.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. did see an increase in total viewers, from last week's 9 p.m. original episode, but demo ratings fell 15%. I would not be surprised if ABC moves SHIELD to a 9 p.m. time slot next season, perhaps even on a new night.

CW - 1.8 million viewers, 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49

FOX - 2.1 million viewers, 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 7.3 million viewers, 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49
