Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 04/08/14

CBS and NBC split the Tuesday night leadership, but I would say NBC is the real winner of the night.

NBC's THE VOICE posted a season low with it's 2.8 rating in Adults 18-49. the first time this season it has gone below the 3.0 mark. The series is down nearly two points since it's Tuesday debut and off by 10%, week-to-week. It barely beat NCIS, which drew a six week high 2.6 rating and is up 8% from last week's episode. with roughly 6 weeks left, will THE VOICE follow AMERICAN IDOL and go below a 2.0?

It looks like the the release of the CAPTAIN AMERICA movie did nothing for AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. The series dropped about 15% in both viewers and demo ratings, from the previous week. What was once a very promising new hit show for ABC, is now looking like a major disappointment.

The only good news on FOX was that the 9:30 episode of THE MINDY PROJECT stayed out of 4th place by beating ABC's TROPHY WIFE. Both series have earned a cancellation, but for some reason, FOX is giving us a third season of MINDY.

CW - 0.8 million viewers, 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 8.1 million viewers, 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49
