Preliminary Ratings: Friday 04/11/14

Delayed by about one month, FOX finally gave us the season premiere of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, with a double episode night. The numbers were not strong, 2.9 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, over the two hours. B, it is double the punch that the combo of RAKE and the two comedies were pulling in on the night and it won the 8 p.m. hour. Give it some time and I am sure the Gordon Ramsey series will slowly build it's Friday audience.

Considering the relatively strong showing of SHARK TANK the night before, Friday night's 6.5 million viewers and 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49 seem flat. From the previous night, SHARK TANK is down 300k in viewers and flt in the demo. I would have thought/expected some new viewers catching the Thursday episode, then following it to Friday. But it appears as if the Friday audience saw the Thursday episode and expected a repeat on Friday.

CBS was the most watched network on the night and tied with ABC for the A18-49 demo lead. If the final numbers hold, BLUE BLOODS may be the top show at 10 p.m., in both categories. The CBS drama is also the only 10 p.m. program to build its audience from it's 9 p.m. lead in.

NBC - 3.7 million viewers, 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49
