Broadcast Finals for April 17, 2014
SCANDAL's season finale helped push ABC to a victory sweep in the Thursday night ratings as the third year drama collected 10.6 million viewers and was the night's #1 program in the A18-49 ratings, with a 3.4. this was the best ratings SCANDAL has gotten since the series premiere, back in September.
CBS had a season, or series, finale with the THE CRAZY ONES and the final test may not be a passing grade. The final two episodes averaged just a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers. The final episode, at 9:30 p.m., was the lowest rated original episode of the series.
NBC gave us two season finales, starting with low rated COMMUNITY. Just 2.9 million viewers tuned in to the show, which has a chance to be the series last episode. The numbers show that COMMUNITY has earned a cancellation by the network, but NBC loves it's low rated comedies.
Closing out the night for NBC was the finale of PARENTHOOD. It, like COMMUNITY, saw no spike in it's season finale. In fact, PARENTHOOD lost viewers and posted a smaller A18-49 rating, from the previous week. As the network that is on pace to win the season in the A18-49 ratings, It is still the network in the worst shape.
