Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 17, 2014

It's was the kick-off of another edition of DANCING WITH THE STARS on Monday night and it was the most watched show of the evening, with 15.4 million viewers. that was down more than a half million viewers from the 2013 fall premiere and down over 1.5 million viewers from last year's spring premiere. In the A18-49 ratings, it drew a decent 2.6 rating, placing third during the 8 p.m. hour, and second in the 9 p.m. hour. Last fall, the premiere was a 3.1 rating, off by 16%, and last spring the demo ratings were a 3.2. DWTS still has some kick in it, but it does not have much life in it.
THE TOMORROW PEOPLE made it's Monday debut and improved the ratings on the time slot by 44%, in just one week. I am not sure if it is enough for the CW to keep the series, but it is a big step in the right direction if this helps cancel BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

FOX took a big hit on the night. Week to week, it is down 12% in the demo and 16% in total viewership. This is more of the effect of the increased competition, from DWTS, and the usual cool down of Spring time viewing.
