Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 13, 2014

FOX gave us an earlier than usual season premiere of the cooking competition series HELL'S KITCHEN and it delivered. The opener drew 5.5 million viewers and a 2.0 rating in Adults 18-49. it was an easy #2 in the 8 p.m. hour in both total viewers and the demo rating. Perhaps FOX should dump AMERICAN IDOL for next season and give us a super sized season of HELL'S KITCHEN, from January to May.
Most other shows on the night did seas a drop of some kind in the ratings, even THE BIG BANG THEORY. But, surprisingly, the one show that did not drop was THE CRAZY ONES. It was the one Thursday night show, on CBS, that did not get an early renewal yesterday, but held it's ground week-to-week. Even with the lead in drawing a smaller audience. If the Robin Williams want's any chance to see a second season, it need to show it now, and this is a good first step.

Over on ABC, SCANDAL is holding steady, but GREY'S ANATOMY is falling hard. Since it's return, two weeks ago, the veteran drama has lost 2 million viewers and 26% in the A18-49 ratings. It is still one of the strong ABC programs and is in no danger of cancellation, but the end may only be a season away, at this rate.

CW - 1.2 million viewers, 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 3.2 million viewers, 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49
